Ensuring Drinking Water quality in any remote location
Based on the water electrolysis principle, OXISTICK produces, from small water volumes, either drinking water or a more concentrated chlorinating solution to disinfect larger volumes or hard surfaces.
OXISTICK uses the chlorides naturally present (concentration has to be above 20 ppm Cl- in the water to be treated) to generate free chlorine under the form of hypochlorous acid. Hypochlorous acid is a strong oxidizer known for the preventing the spread of bacteria, viruses, algae and molds.
It is also efficient against many pathogens, such as E. Coli or Legionella Pneumophila.

Production of a Disinfecting Solution
OXISTICK can also produce a 0.5% Chlorine solution (10 litres/10 hours) to treat up to 50m3 using only 30g of salt (NaCl) per 10 litres. OXISTICK can be powered either by a 12V car battery or a solar panel and is easily deployable on site and adaptive to the available water quality. It does not require any specialised skill to operate, and needs very little maintenance. |
